Naruto Shippuden CharactersThis is a featured page

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Naruto Uzumaki is 15 years in
Naruto shippuden so he is much
more smarter and has new abilities
such as wind style rasengan, shuriken
rasengan, and has a little scroll like
Tenten's to fire all types of weapons.
He was trained by Jiraiya the toad sage and
he still has a crush on Sakura.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Sasuke Uchiha is not good anymore
and joins Orochimaru for power and betrays
him at the age of 15 in Naruto Shippuden. He
is from the Uchiha clan and has the Sharingan.
The sharingan has the ability to copy any attack
besides the bloodline trait attacks, thats the side effect.
still wants kill his brother Itachi which is still
in the Akatsuki organization.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Sakura Haruno is a medical
ninja with super strength because
Tsunade was her mentor. Sakura
could heal herself. Sakura has a few
feelings for Naruto and
worries him because the
Akatsuki are targeting him.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Rock Lee is trained by Guy who taught
him the best tai jutsu ever. Rock Lee
can open the eight inner gates and
is so fast. Like Naruto he too has
a MAJOR crush on Sakura.

Tenten is a weapon master and
is a good teammate. She always
wanted to be the great kunoichi
like Tsunade. No one knows if
Tenten likes Neji or not.

Neji is a member of the Hyuga clan
and is the heir of the Cadet Branch.
As the member of the Hyuga clan he
can use Byakugan the eye that can
sees the chakra points and the burst
of chakra is released from the hands
when striking with his palm. It can
steal chakra from the enemy.
Neji had a conflict during the chunin
exams when fighting Hinata because
the Main Branch was better than the
Cadet Branch of the Hyuga clan.

This is Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru
Nara, and Chouji Akamichi. This
squad are all from clans. Ino belongs
to the Yamanaka clan which can do
mind transfer and is an expert on flowers.
Chouji is from the Akamichi clan and knows
and how to use pills and uses human boulder.
Shikamaru is from the Nara clan and can use
shadows to defeat enemies.

Team 8 on the right consists of Hinata Hyuga,
Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka. This team
uses bloodline abilities. Shino is from the
Aburame clan which uses bugs, Kiba is from
the Inuzuka clan which uses dogs, and you
shoud know Hinata's clan.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Kakashi Hatake is the leader of team 7 and is called
the copy ninja with his Sharingan. In Naruto
Shippuden we see Kakashi Hatake finally
uses his mangekyou sharingan which alows
him to use thes jutsu called Tsukoyomi
which is the same as Itachi Uchiha's.
He loves to read his makeout paradise book
and has balanced stats. His greatest rival
is Might Guy.

Might Guy is the leader of team Guy
and is the taijutsu specialist.
Heis the one that taught Rock Lee the
eight inner gates and primary lotus.
Guy can use ninjutsu but no one knows what kind.
His taijutsu is off the charts and is
a great rival to Kakashi.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Kurenai Yuhi is the leader of team 8 and
is a genjutsu user. She faught Itachi but
lost. In Naruto Shippuden, she is married
to Asuma Sarutobi.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Asuma Sarutobi is the leader of
team 10. He is mostly a taijutsu-ninjutsu
user. In Naruto shippuden he is
married to Kurenai Yuhi.

Those three kids are the legendary sannin. ( this is the younger version of sannins)
Tsunade the girl is called the legendary sucker
or the slug woman. Jiraiya the guy with the white hair
is the toad sage and is a pervert. The guy in the middle
is Orochimaru or the serpent wielder is evil and wants Sasuke
in his grasp ( he actually got him). Last but not least, the old man
in the middle is the third hokage. He was the teacher of the sannin.

This is Sasuke's older brother Itachi Uchiha.
He definetly surpassed Sasuke's skills. He has
mangekyou sharingan which can send the enemy
to "another world". His Akatsuki teamate is Kisame
Hoshigaki. He killed his clan because he wanted
to test his skills.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Kisame Hoshigaki is an S-ranked criminal and
is one of the seven swordsmen of the mist.
His sword called Shark Skin doesnt cut, it
rips through the body of the enemy and steals
the chakra. His Akatsuki teamate is Itachi.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
Deidera is part of the akatsuki organization. He
could get paper art bombs from his little mouths
in his hands. Naruto and Kakashi tried to chase him
but he wasnt caught. Deidra's Akatsuki teamate is
Sasori.

Naruto Characters - Naruto Shippuden
This is the true Sasori's face. He fought
his Grandmother and Sakura. He also was the
one who kidnapped the hokage from the
sand village a long time ago. He can manipulate
puppets like Kankuro. His Akatsuki teamate is
Deidra.

Team Gaara is one of the strongest team to my
opinion. Gaara focuses on only ninjutsu and has
the ultimate defense. In Naruto shippuden he dies
because of Diedera. Temari is also a ninjutsu user
using her fan. She is Gaara's and Kankuro's older
Sister. Kankuro us ninjutsu and taijutsu because
of his puppets. He fought Sasori but got poisoned because
of his puppet tail. Temari and Kankuro are jonin, but Gaara
is the hokage of the Sand Village.

Characters
Fifteen year old Yuri Shibuya lived a normal life in Japan before he was flushed into an alternate world.  After much confusion, he learned that he was in the Great Demon Kingdom and that he was the rightful Demon King.  He didn't want to accept his new position at first, but eventually came around and took on the responsibilities.  The only thing was that Yuri hated violence and wanted everything to be solved in the most peaceful way possible.  He did not know much about the alternate world though, and was constantly getting into trouble - such as accidentally proposing to Wolfram his first night there.  Bouncing back and forth between Japan and the Demon Kingdom, Yuri came to accept both worlds as his home and loved both equally.  Yuri might have been young and may not have been the smartest boy in the world, but he had immense powers and learned to be a great king with time and help from all of his friends.  He just needed to learn how to control his impulsive attitude and think about his actions before going through with them.
Wolfram von Bielefeld was the youngest son of the former Demon Queen.  He was very much a spoiled brat who didn't take to authority very well before Yuri came along.  Wolfram was very insulted when Yuri proposed to him, but warmed up to the idea quickly.  He took to the role of jealous fiance and also to sleeping in Yuri's bed, much to Yuri's dismay.  Wolfram grew up a lot since Yuri came to the Demon Kingdom and a lot of that had to do with his relationship with the young king.  He was still a spoiled brat, but Wolfram had someone to care about other than himself and it matured him a lot.  Yuri also taught him to care about others as well, such as Wolfram's older brother Conrad who was half human.  Wolfram always loved Conrad, but would not admit it because that would be showing compassion to humans.  Even though Yuri might not have been too keen on the idea of being betrothed to Wolfram, there wasn't really much of a chance of him getting out of it if Wolfram had any say.
Conrard "Conrad" Weller was the second son of the former Demon Queen.  His father was a human, so he was only half demon and did not possess any magical powers.  Nontheless, he decided to live out his life as one of the Demon Tribe instead of staying with the humans.  Conrad was in love with a woman named Julia, but she died during the war between the demons and humans.  When she died, he was given the job of transporting her soul to another world so it could be reborn as the new Demon King, Yuri.  Conrad was made Yuri's godfather because of the kindness he showed to Yuri's mother when she was in labor.  When Yuri finally came to the Demon Kingdom, Conrad vowed to stay by his side and protect him from all harm.  Conrad was an expert swordsman and took on any opponant without hesitation.  He treated Yuri as if he was his own son and wanted to ensure his safety at all costs, even if it meant putting himself in harms way.
Gwendal von Voltaire was the eldest son of the former Demon Queen, Lady Celi.  Tall, dark, and with a scowl always planted on his face, Gwendal did not accept Yuri as his king at first.  He thought that he would make a better candidate for king and resented the fact that a loudmouthed child would be given the position.  Gwendal did come around eventually though and came to respect Yuri.  While Gwendel always seemed angry at the world, he did have a soft spot for cute little things.  He liked to knit animals in his spare time, but didn't appreciate when people talked about it.  The one thing that Gwendal was scared of was Anissina, resident inventor of the Demon Kingdom.  While the two knew each other since childhood, Gwendal still disliked being her guinea pig for every invention she thought up.
Gunter von Kleist became Yuri's personal assistant of sorts when the king came to the Demon Kingdom.  He was an accomplished swordsman and all around fighter and knew how to take care of himself despite his delicate appearance.  He loved Yuri unconditionally and would let anyone who wanted to know hear all about it.  He loved protecting Yuri and teaching him about the Demon Kingdom.  What he didn't like though, was being constantly left behind when Yuri decided to go on one of his journeys.  Gunter was rarely invited and it always broke his heart to see Yuri go away.  Gunter's feelings were always left right out in the open, and his emotional breakdowns were some of the funniest parts of the show.
Ken Murata was Yuri's good friend from Japan who was the reason Yuri's head got shoved down the toilet in the first place.  He always seemed to be around when Yuri jumped back and forth to the Demon Kingdom, but he never asked any questions.  One time, Murata ended up in the alternate world with Yuri and wasn't confused at all.  Yuri wondered how he knew the language and how Murata seemed to know more about the world than he did, but Murata kept up his act.  It turned out that he was the great wise man of the Demon Kingdom and knew about Yuri the whole time.  He only came to the alternate world when he was needed and became an advisor of sorts to Yuri.
Josak was Conrad's good friend and war buddy before becoming a sort of bodyguard to Yuri.  A master of disguise, Josak always tried to blend in with the locals until trouble arose and he was needed.  At first, he didn't want to follow Yuri or treat him as king, but eventually came around.  He probably initally didn't think that Yuri was the best man for the job, but Josak came to respect the young king's ways when Yuri put his absolute trust into Josak.  Yuri entrusted Josak with the jewel from the Demon Sword Morgif - the source of the sword's unbelievable power.  Josak took on this great responsibility and also protected Yuri from harms way, no matter what.
Greta first came onto the show proclaiming to be "the ill-begotten offspring of his royal highness".  When Yuri came to investigate this claim, Greta pulled a knife on him and proceeded to try and kill him.  Yuri came out with no more than a twisted ankle and decided to take Greta on vacation with him.  He wanted to find out why she attacked him and try to stop her from acting that way again.  It turned out that Greta had lost her parents and was raised in a castle by her aunt and uncle.  She didn't think that they liked her, but since they hated the Demon King, she decided that assassinating him would change their minds about her.  Greta and Yuri became very close in a short amount of time and she couldn't understand how he could love her even though she tried to kill him.  Greta ended up being adopted by Yuri, thereby officially making her the daughter of the Demon King (though not ill-begotten anymore).

Detective Conan

Detective Conan The series depicts the cases and adventures of a brilliant young private detective who was inadvertently turned into a prepubescent little boy by a secret criminal organization who gave him a drug that was supposed to kill him, but backfired. Due to the fact that he is supposed to be dead, he must live under an alias, as well as keep his true identity a secret from those around him.

Detective ConanEven with his shrunken body, his mind is still that of his adult-self, and he continues to solve many difficult cases, while struggling to discover more about the organization responsible for his condition, so that he can one day return to his normal body and normal life.

As Case Closed has run on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, many of you are already familiar with the show's bizarre blend of detective mystery, drama, and wacky comedy. Poor Conan must deal with being in his tiny body, he is still in love with Rachel, he is virtually ignored by the police, and he must solve all the mysteries by giving all the credit to the inept detective Richard Moore who doesn't even know half the time that he's "solving" the crime!

Detective ConanAlthough Adult Swim only broadcast about 50 episodes, many more are available via direct purchase DVD, with more on the way as Funimation dubs them into English. With over 500 episodes produced, and the show having no plans to end anytime soon, this is a collection that could fill your house by itself. And I hope you've got the free time to watch all this!

Jyu Oh Sei:
Planet of the Beast King

Anime DVD Review

Okay, so... it's lord of the flies. Sorta. On an alien planet. With a complex set of rules between several rival factions. Oh, and there's a zillion man-eating plants. And into all of this is thrust a 12-yr-old boy and his twin brother, who've been cast to this incredibly harsh planet of convicts by a ruthless dictator, and the only way to get off-world is to become the ruler of the world... aka, The Beast King.

And like many anti-heroes before him, our protagonist, Thor, must learn all the rules of this planet while he single handedly proceeds to break every one of them on his way to the top.
Lasting only 11 episodes, you can whiz through this series pretty quickly, but I warn you, don't get too attached to any ancillary characters you meet, this unforgiving world kills off people pretty quickly. And somewhere between episodes 5 and 6 Thor gains about 3 years (and his main squeeze gets more top-heavy). However, for the first 5 episodes, the voice actor for the English dub seems to be doing a pretty good impersonation of Billie Lou Watt.

There's a lot of action and a lot of plotline squeezed into these episodes (as we said, only 11), so everything takes place pretty fast and furious. There's no time for characters to even understand what's going on or mourn the death of a loved one, because another disaster is seconds away, and you're constantly in "emergency mode" with no time to slow down.

So, if you can imagine "Dune" taking place in a world full of lush, carnivorous greenery, you've got a basic handle of the scope of this series. It's a big, science fiction epic squashed down into as few episodes as possible. If you enjoyed "Crest of the Stars", you'll find this series fascinating. Also recommended for those of us who just happen to have a Venus Flytrap at home.

Kyo Kara Maoh!: God(?) Save Our King!

Kyo Kara Maoh Season 1: DVD and Manga
Kyo Kara Maoh Season 1: DVD and Manga
Anime and Manga Review

Bacon! Do I have your attention now? I reviewed the second season of Kyo Kara Maoh a few months ago and compared it to FullMetal Alchemist meets The Twelve Kingdoms... with bacon. And so to bring more bacon into everyone's diet (everyone needs more bacon), I've decide: let's go back to the beginning to that flushing that started Kyo Kara Maoh.

For those that haven't seen or heard of Kyo Kara Maoh (aka God(?) Save Our King!), I'm talking about this manga/anime that began when the lead character got sucked into an alternate world by being flushed into a toilet. Yuri, a normal 15 year old kid growing up in Japan, decided to stand up for one of his classmates, Murata, that was being bullied, and ended up being flushed into the Great Demon Kingdom. He thought he passed out from the swirlie and was dumped in a Medieval Times kind of theme park at first. Then, this guy shows up and uses magic to unlock part of his soul's memory so he can understand the language of this alternate world. He's Adelbert von Grantz; Yuri's godfather (Yuri finds this out later), Conrart Weller, and his friend, Gunter von Christ, show up and whisk Yuri off to Covenant Castle (aka Blood Pledge Castle). It turns out Yuri has been selected at birth to be the next Demon King. Once at Covenant Castle, Conrart's brothers, Gwendel and Wolfram, show up and aren't his biggest fans since Yuri is half demon, half human and most importantly, he didn't even grow up in the Great Demon Kingdom! Things get complicated when Yuri, not understanding the protocols of the nobility of this world, slaps Wolfram on the left side of his face and ends up being engaged to him. A few seconds later, still not understanding protocols and not bothering to slow down to learn, he ends up accepting a duel from Wolfram. On top of that, Conrart's mom shows up and she is the cougar of the century! She's hot but poor Yuri's a little slow on the development side of things... The bikini thong underwear that the nobility are required to wear is not very... umm... helpful?

Kyo Kara Maoh!: God(?) Save Our King!So Yuri spends most of his time in the Demon Kingdom getting a crash course in "How to Lead a Magical Medieval Kingdom" and whenever he gets near water, he might be swirled back into modern day Japan and be a normal baseball playing boy with a hyper-ditzy but absolutely adorable mom and new geeky best friend, Murata. It's a welcome change from leading a nation, trying to avoid being killed by assassins, negotiating peace treaties, saving dragons (yes, I said DRAGONS), adopting a daughter, fending off sexual overtures from his godfather's mom and his fiancÈe, saving babies and pregnant women, and last but not least, trying not to be killed by a koala. You have to see/read the last item to understand what I'm saying; koalas in the Demon Kingdom are no joke.

Now, some might be too lazy to read the manga, I know I was. You can go straight to the anime and watch the whole first season in...oh...three days non-stop until your eyeballs feel like you've propped your eyelids open with toothpicks and your body feels like one of Gwendel's knitted bear/pig-looking kittens? You will get the stories, the crazy characters, and everything without having to spend any energy flipping pages or making your eyes travel from top to bottom, side to side but then you'll be too lazy and be missing out. As Spinal Tap said, "These go to eleven" and that's what the manga does, it goes to eleven. It almost sounds impossible but the anime seems strangely docile and serene compared to the manga even though it's so lively already. There is an energy to the manga that pops out from the drawing; it's as if the artist does not need to worry about how the emotions need to change from one frame to another and can give his all into that one moment in time: all his emotions, his energy, and his focus with no need to worry about wasting precious seconds or even minutes panning a landscape to set up the next scene. You are constantly on the move; your eyes do not have time to rest because your next frame is waiting for you. Everyone can do something for three days at a go, but do you have the endurance to savor a manga series like Kyo Kara Maoh?

Kyo Kara Maoh: Season 2Kyo Kara Maoh: Season 2
Kyo Kara Maoh: Season 2
Anime DVD Review

Kyo Kara Maoh... is it FullMetal Alchemist meets The Twelve Kingdoms... with bacon? (Everything goes better with bacon) Or is it even better than that? If you've watched the first season, I don't think I need to say anything. You are going to watch season two anyway. Just remember to be civil as you are prying the DVD from the person's dead body to buy, ok? Ok, Kyo Kara Maoh is not so great that you need to kill someone for it; I was exaggerating. It is good enough to beat a person to a pulp for though.

Kyo Kara Maoh!: God(?) Save Our King!I mean, how many mangas or animes do you know where it begins when your lead character gets sucked into an alternate world by falling through a toilet? Yeah, we've had plenty of leads becoming the king or queen of whatever alternate world or gaining godly powers when they get picked on but how many got flushed to that state. Queen Youko was spirited away to her kingdom in The Twelve Kingdoms and only has Keiki attending to her. She's got nothing on Yuri Shibuya.

Yuri was a normal 15 year old kid growing up in Japan. He grew up with his mom, dad, and older brother and inherited his love of baseball from his dad. Unfortunately, baseball wasn't the only thing the brothers inherited from their dad... It turns out that their dad is a demon from the Great Demon Kingdom, so both brothers have a magic element within that allows them to control water. Both parents have decided not to tell the brothers about this secret, so when Yuri decided to stand up for one of his classmates, Murata, that was being bullied, and ended up being flushed into the Great Demon Kingdom, boy, was he surprised.

He thought he passed out from the swirlie and was dumped in a Medieval Times kind of theme park at first. Everyone was dressed up like they were medieval Europe and speaking a language he doesn't understand; can you blame him? Then, this guy shows up and uses magic to unlock part of his soul's memory so he can understand the language of this alternate world. He's Adelbert von Grantz and was the fiancé of Julia von Wincott, the previous owner of Yuri's soul. The action doesn't stop though; Yuri's godfather, Conrart Weller, and his friend, Gunter von Christ, shows up and whisk Yuri off to Covenant Castle. Yep, his parents also decided not to tell the brothers that Yuri has been selected at birth to be the next Demon King. It was only decided 4,000 years ago by the first ever Demon King, the Great One, but Yuri didn't need to know that.

Kyo Kara Maoh!: God(?) Save Our King!People weren't happy that the Great One selected Yuri. He's half demon and half human and most importantly, he didn't even grow up in the Great Demon Kingdom! Conrad and his cross-dressing friend, Josak, have no problems because they are both half-breeds like Yuri but his other protectors needed some persuading since they were full-blood demons and nobles on top of that. Adelbert lost his love because of Yuri so no surprise there that he doesn't like Yuri being the newest Demon King. Conrad's brothers, Gwendel and Wolfram, aren't his biggest fans either but they have pledged their lives to honor the Great One's wishes so they put up with things. Things get a little more complicated when Yuri, not understanding the protocols of the nobility of this world, slaps Wolfram on the left side of his face and ends up being engaged to him. Even though Yuri insists that he's not into guys and didn't mean to be engaged to him, Wolfram refuses to let go and takes on the role of the clingy, high maintenance fiancé with a lot of oomph and finesse.

The nerd, Murata, who Yuri was protecting on Earth, turned out to be the reincarnation of The Great Wise Man, best friend of the Great One. His specialty is remembering everything that has happened in all his pass lives and divulges bits and pieces of that info to Yuri and his protectors whenever he feels like it. He seems to work well with the Priestess Ulrike, who hears the voice of the Great One and passes on his guidance to the masses. Shori, Yuri's brother, thinks that the Great One and Murata have a hidden agenda and are herding people like sheep down a path towards something sinister.

Shori's powers haven't manifested as strongly as Yuri's but he'll do anything to protect him. What kind of brother is he if all he can do is sit back and let the nobles protect the Demon King, his brother? Gwendel and Wolfram hates humans and halfbreeds; will they stand by and watch as Conrad die to protect Yuri? Did the Great One and The Great Wise Man have a hidden agenda? Will Yuri and Wolfram really get married? Most importantly, where the hell is Yuri's parents while he is getting his ass kicked around by demons?
